Family Book Club

The first meeting this year of the Family Book Club will be Tuesday, January 27th at 7pm. We will be reading from a book of short fairy tales written by George MacDonald, who is often described as the father of modern fantasy.  Both JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis credit him with much of their inspiration.  At Tuesday’s meeting books will be passed out.  This will serve as an organizational meeting to determine the best time to meet, and we will begin one of the short stories.  Most of MacDonald’s children stories include both a boy and a girl in important roles, and all of his stories contain morals aimed at children and adults.
