SUDAN
The first mission trip to the Sudan took place in the summer
of 2007 and this summer another team spent a week in Sudan. The team trained
elementary school and Sunday school
teachers, hosted a youth retreat for young adults, led workshops on
children's ministry, hosted children's outreach and provided medical
tips and supplies to the mobile clinic. They prayed with the people
encouraging them and spurring them on in their ministries and in their
lives by the power of the Holy Spirit. The people in Yambio are still
mourning the death of Bishop Andrew Mbugo Elisa last December. God gave this team the opportunity to serve and to encourage during this

HUNGARY
Mission trips to Sárvár, Hungary have taken place for over
a decade now. Donations are always welcome to support this ongoing mission effort. Please make your check payable to "Lutheran
Church of the Savior" with "Hungary Missions" in the memo
line. If you are interested in participating in a short-term mission trip to
Hungary, please contact the church office at 781-275-6013.
MEXICO
Lutheran Church of The Savior has now sent teams for the past
seven years to Tijuana, Mexico to build and to
teach through Lutheran Border Concerns Ministry. One team of individuals
works on construction projects and another team holds Vacation Bible School for some
100+ children
in the neighborhood. For more information about future mission trips to Mexico, please contact

LOCAL MISSION PROJECTS
Central Food Ministry, Lowell, MA
Volunteer opportunities are available T/W/Th 10:00 am -
1:30 pm and Th 7:00
pm - 8:00 pm. Volunteers help sort food and clothing; distribute food;
and provide general maintenance/cleanup. The following contributions are always welcome
-- paper goods, baby items, canned foods, clothing, and financial donations..

Senior Luncheons at Lutheran Church
of the Savior
This luncheon is offered the second Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve the meal. All seniors from the church and local communities are welcome.
